As of September 2014, the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation (KADK) are launching a new series of educational programmes at Bachelor’s and Master’s level. The new institutes will focus on art, science and practice – and on stronger cross-disciplinary collaboration.

The Institute of Visual Design works with visual identity – physical and digital – universes for TV and film, and the development of games and digital products. The Institute of Product Design takes on the breadth of the design concept. And stretches it to the maximum. Design is more than just nice things on your shelf at home. It has to touch the heart.

The Institute of Architecture and Design deals with the immediate life around us. Lighting. Textiles. Furnishing. The quality of buildings. Beauty is in the detail, but also in the greater picture.
